1. Does the Sand City Police Department offer public fingerprinting (ink or LiveScan)?
No, SCPD does not offer public fingerprinting.
2. Will the Sand City Police Department serve documents for me?
SCPD will attempt service of domestic violence restraining orders when received from Superior Court. For civil restraining orders and all other documents requiring service, contact an independent process server.
3. I need to get my property back . How do I do that?
Call (831)394-1451 during business hours and we will put you in touch with an evidence officer for retrieval.
4. I have a firearm that I need to dispose of. Can I bring it to the police department?
Firearms for destruction will be accepted from Sand City residents. Call (831)394-1451 during business hours, or dispatch at (831)394-6811 after hours, and speak with an officer first. Never bring a loaded weapon unannounced into the police department.
5. I have expired medication that I need to dispose of. Where is the best place to dispose of it?
