Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA)

Sand City wastewater is handled by the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency that was formed in 1972. This agency operates the regional wastewater treatment plant and water recycling facility within the City of Marina, and also maintains 25 pump stations (one of those pump stations is located in Sand City on Bay Street west of Highway 1). Seaside County Sanitation District (SCSD)

The Seaside County Sanitation District (SCSD) is a special district responsible for the maintenance and operation of the sanitary sewer collection system serving the Cities of Del Rey Oaks, Sand City, and Seaside. The wastewater is ultimately pumped to the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA) regional treatment plant. For more information on this District, go to:
