Services Introduction

Services provided to Sand City come from a variety of places beyond City Hall. These services include public health, housing, waste water handling, education, and transportation to name a few. There are State and regional entities who provide those services on a regional scale. Some of these agencies are the:

Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District (MBUAPCD),
County of Monterey (with it’s multitude of departments and programs),
Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (MPUSD),
Monterey Regional Waste Management District (MRWMD),
California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB),
Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA),
Seaside County Sanitation District,
Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC), and
Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD).

There are also services provided through contract or franchise agreements with the City, such as:
