Transportation
Sand City is serviced by the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus system. There are two bus stops in Sand City, the first located along California Avenue near the Highway 1 on-off ramps, and the second is a transfer hub along Playa Avenue adjacent to the Edgewater Shopping Center.
Sand City is within the jurisdiction of the Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC). This regional agency is responsible for coordinating and implementing solutions to regional transportation issues.
State Highway 1 traverses north/south through Sand City; which falls under the jurisdiction of the California Department of Transportation.
