Services Introduction

Services provided to Sand City come from a variety of places beyond City Hall including services for public health, housing, waste water handling, education, and transportation. On a regional scale, State and County entities often provide these services. Some of the agencies providing services to Sand City are the following:

• Monterey Bay Unified Air Pollution Control District (MBUAPCD)
• County of Monterey (with it’s multitude of departments and programs)
• Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (MPUSD)
• Monterey Regional Waste Management District (MRWMD)
• California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB)
• Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA)
• Seaside County Sanitation District
• Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC)
• Monterey Peninsula Water Management District (MPWMD)
  

These services are often provided through contract or franchise agreements with the city.
