Business License

Introduction

The City of Sand City requires a business license to operate any type of business activity within the City. You may not operate your business until such time that all City requirements are met, business license fees are paid, and the City has issued a business license certificate.

It is the business license applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all necessary clearances and/or permits have been issued and cleared from various departments (i.e. Planning, Building, Police, Fire, Etc.).

You must check with the State Board of Equalization to see if you are required to have a “Seller’s Permit”. For more information, go to www.boe.ca.gov.

It is the responsibility of the business owner to notify the City’s business license office immediately if there are any changes to the business entity from the information previously submitted to the City.

It is the City’s intent to issue a business license as quickly as possible. This requires the applicant’s cooperation in providing complete and accurate information.
