Sand City Committees

Art Committee

The Art Committee was formed by the City Council to guide and encourage the growing artist community within Sand City. The primary function has been the organization and management of the annual West End Event.

Members are appointed and consist of:

John Chappell, Art Display Coordinator
Elizabeth Ramirez-Fagan, Art Display Coordinator/Public Relations
Gay Morris, Secretary/Treasurer

Design Review Committee

The Design Review Committee (DRC) was established in 1987, with members appointed by the City Council for 2-year terms. The primary function is to review and take action on architectural designs for development projects.

Parking Committee

The Parking Committee was formed in 2006 to address growing parking and congestion problems within Sand City; particularly within the West End District.

Personnel & Budget Committee

The Personnel & Budget Committee addresses the City Budget and personnel policy issues. This committee reports to the City Council.

West End Action Committee

The West End Action Committee provides oversight and guidance for the West End 2008 Event.
