The City Council may retain such professional staff and employees as it deems appropriate to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the City. Unless otherwise ordered by the City Council or other law, the City Administrator shall serve as the administrative position for implementation of City Council approved ordinances, resolutions, agreements, contracts and polices, and shall perform such other duties as prescribed in the City’s Municipal Code.
The City Council may create standing committees to advise and assist the City Council and City staff in City operations. The Council may also contract with other government agencies and/or private firms as deemed appropriate for the provision of municipal services.
